The term "Rounder" is Appalachian for dissolute rambler....impudent lad...cocky scoundrel....punchy rapscallion. Fitting for this little man on many accounts.
While looking for another bitch in the UK in 2000 I had the pleasure of going over 9 litters of pups and helping birth another. I was searching for a female among some of the best bred litters in the country at that time. When I found this breeding (by Colin and Carol Powell), I found the pup I had been looking for. He ended up being the wrong gender, but my pick of all the litters nonetheless. I couldn't pass him up....and now neither can most people who meet him.
He will greet you with his whipping tail and lashing tongue. Everybody is a long lost friend to "Rounder".
A few of his conformation accomplishments include:
Rounder gained his Championship title with 3 majors and a total of 19 points. Other than a few local shows Rounder was only ever shown in the "Major League."
As a youngster, Rounder was named Best Puppy at the National Specialty, he later won a National Specialty Award Of Merit and most recently he won Best Veteran at the 2008 National Specialty.
Rounder is now at stud to approved bitches.
L-2 HGA testing required.
